About Minnick's Miles for BASE Camp

In early January 2025, I'll be running the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World with an incredible group of people, the DDP Sorcerer's Running Team. The team has partnered with BASE Camp to help raise money for a wonderful charity that helps provide for kids and families fighting cancer. BASE Camp does so much with little funding so any amount we can provide helps. Cancer touches all of us in some way. I am fortunate to be able to run and do other activities I enjoy, while many are not. These kids are truly inspiring. I have heard of kids that simply wanted Chick Fil A for dinner, BASE Camp made that happen. One child just wanted groceries for his family, BASE Camp took care of that. They asked him what HE wanted, finally he said "maybe a camera so I can take pictures of my friends and family so I have these memories of good times." BASE Camp got him a digital camera. There are many more stories like this. I am humbly counting on the generosity of friends and family to help reach my goal of $500 and the DDP Sorcerer's Running Team goal of $20,000 so BASE Camp can not just continue but expand their mission.
